The theme nights for the cruise were the same as last year: Represent Night, Formal Night, White Night, Pajama Night, Mardi Gras Night, 70's Night, and Toga Night. Traci and I did not plan very well last year but this year we ordered our 70's Night and Mardi Gras Night costumes online about a week before the cruise (Yes, we brought a lot of clothes with us). For Mardi Gras, Traci was a cat and I an astronaut. For 70's Night, I was a disco guy and Traci a hippie girl. At first, I felt a little silly wearing my costumes but there was really no need to feel that way. Many people participate in the theme nights and some have much more outlandish costumes than Traci or I. We got plenty of stares as we walked around the ship those evenings but the stares were normally accompanied with a grin and/or compliment. There were a few who even asked to take a picture. Myra J. and Tom Joyner got a kick out of my 70's gear. When they saw me they said, "Now, that's what I'm talking about, Player!"
